About us

Delivering a range of recycling services on the Kintyre peninsula

Kintyre Recycling was established in 1996 and has grown to encompass a number of recycling and renewable energy activities. Here, at a glance, is what we do:

Kerbside collection
We operate a fortnightly kerbside collection using a two bags system (please
see our recycling guide for more about our two bag system).

Recycle banks
We service around 30 community bring banks at different sites, including schools, across 2000 square miles.

Secure shredding
We offer a security shredding service where we will collect from the property and return certificates of destruction.

Amenity site operation
We provide weekend and relief manning at the amenity site in Campbeltown.

Bio-fuel programme
We produce bio-fuel from recycled cooking oil, which we use to run one of our vehicles

All our collected materials are hand sorted, baled and sold at market to fund employment in our local community. We also make and sell rag wipes.
